As a relative newcomer to the village (only 20 years) it's great to see that this piece of history is being   preserved for our children. It would be a great pity in years to come, if walking down Holehouse Brae, we   were unable to remember what the big building at the bottom once housed. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Netta McDade. Your memoir of working at the millmill work work is very well written. I liked the   detailed information. I bet you could write a book about the tricks played on fellow workers. My mother   worked at the mill in the 1920s, age 14, right out of school. My granny worked there too as a youngster.

I was very impressed with your exhibition. As an old mill worker(from Yorkshire, originally) it was very   evocative of the mills I worked at.
