Mill Memories / Comment: All My Yesteryears

I started in the mill age 14 years in copwinding no4 mill. The machines were very big and worked with big belts. The noise was unbearble, it was wartime and very dark when going to work. The windows were painted black. outside toilets hanging on to wall. Big coal bin in yard.

I worked all over the mill no3 and no4 but always went back to cop rewinding had great fun and very hard work. I could go on for ever but i will stop now
